JIU JITSU (or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu)
For the total Jiu Jitsu beginner. Learn the concepts, principles and the mechanics of Jiu Jitsu in our introductory classes. This class covers self defense techniques, teaches how to troubleshoot out of tough situations, builds up your conditioning with exercises based on the core movements of Jiu Jitsu and serves as a great environment to learn how to spar safely.
Techniques are taught in a progressive manner with plenty of drilling (or practice) time with a partner. This facilitates the binding of muscle memory and deeper understanding of how things work in Jiu Jitsu. The introductory classes are the foundation of your future success in the sport.

Standard Jiu Jitsu Classes
If you’ve ever trained Jiu Jitsu or if you have a friend who has told you all about what happens in a Jiu Jitsu class, then you know what this is all about! It’s an hour and a half to two hours of exercise, technique study, drilling with a partner and then live sparring.
Despite the hard work, classes are super fun. Students leave sweaty, happy and looking forward to the next training session.
JIU JITSU LIFESTYLE
Lastly, and just as importantly, students are introduced to something amazing called the Jiu Jitsu Lifestyle. It’s the fun and rewarding combination of training regularly, eating healthy so you can train more, getting a good night’s sleep, applying Jiu Jitsu in your everyday life (using minimum effort for maximum results i.e. leverage), using your days off of work in a healthy and fulfilling way (going for hikes, going surfing, spending time playing with your family) and the mandatory use of the “hang loose” symbol in every photo opportunity, lol.

Making the decision to learn to fight can seem pretty intimidating. Visions of sweaty, angry people smashing each other is probably the first thing that comes to mind. Put your mind at ease. JitsuFit’s Fight Science MMA class is a mix of martial arts influenced aerobic exercise, strength conditioning and high intensity interval training, minus the angry-sweaty-smashing vibe. You fight at YOUR level and you train at YOUR pace. You’ll learn how to move like a fighter, how to hit like a fighter all while getting into fighting shape.
Instruction is intended for clients looking to improve general health and fitness, lose weight, build lean body mass, increase cardiorespiratory endurance, improve athletic performance, and learn basic self-defense. It’s a unique approach to fitness that is as fun as it is practical.
